Sellam's 69 sub-line applies the atelier's leather-line logic to cotton basics, and Bigshort is where that logic is most visible on a lower-body piece. The base is GOTS-certified organic cotton worked through the proprietary Micro Ondes treatment - a dimensional wave texture that leaves the fabric with a corrugated surface rather than a flat one. On black, the cold-dye process saturates the ripple troughs deeper than the peaks, pulling a subtle tonal shift across every panel. The silhouette is deliberately oversized, with a dropped crotch that lets the cotton fall cleanly in front of the leg rather than clinging to it. Leather trim interrupts the cotton at select edges - smooth against the textured weave, warmer at the fingertips.
The Steel Staple 69 is the workshop mark: a single gunmetal agrafe pressed into the construction. No visible branding beyond that. Bigshort runs true to size for the relaxed intent; size down if you want the volume closer to the leg.
