These are the N 42 shorts in a triacetate-silk blend lamé. The silk content gives the fabric a cool slick hand and memory, the triacetate gives it structure, and the metallic coating is woven into the threads rather than sitting on top of them. The silhouette is relaxed wide-leg boxer proportions, cut mid-thigh. A multi-channelled elasticated waistband gathers the fabric into a set of vertical folds that descend from waist to leg, holding structure at the top third while the rest of the fabric falls freely. Vented outseams release air at the outer thigh. Button-fly front, two side pockets. In still air, the sheen sits in discrete reflective zones around each fold. In motion, it re-animates across the surface in liquid patches.
